Clinical and translational research to accelerate medical progress
Opening late 2014, the mission of the Clinical and Translational Research Center (CRCT) will be to create momentum among healthcare stakeholders with the goal of evaluating therapeutic innovations in medical practice conditions and thus move new therapies from laboratory research to medical application at a quicker pace.
A research structure dialoging directly with industry and the region’s largest general hospital
Within this new structure, researchers, industrials and hospital practitioners will work together, with equal implication through all steps, to empower a translational research approach for the development of novel therapies.
Although not its only objective, the CRCT will prioritize locally-developed biotherapy projects, particularly those focused on rare genetic diseases (with the support of the AFM-Téléthon), chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and osteoarthropathies.
