Genopole

Genopole® is France’s leading life science park. Its campus at Evry (near Paris) features academic and private-sector research labs, biotech companies and university teaching facilities. With twenty or so research labs on campus and a portfolio of 70 biotech companies, therapeutic innovation is a core concern for the Genopole® stakeholders. Genopole®’s priorities are to

  • promote genomics, post-genomics and the associated sciences,
  • transfer technology to industry,
  • develop high-level teaching and training in these sectors and
  • create and support biotech companies.

IFRIS

The IFRIS Paris Region Institute for Research, Innovation and Society Studies was created in April 2007 and encompasses a dozen local research groups in science & innovation policy studies and science & society studies. The consortium comprises a hundred or so researchers and PhD students and is centered on Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée University. The IFRIS is also a key player in the PRES Paris-Est higher education and research cluster.
