Daniel Vasmant

Daniel Vasmant is a medical doctor specialized in pediatrics and nephrology. He holds a university cursus in Pharmacology and a Master’s Degree in General Management from the Business School ESSEC.
He was head of clinic and professor at AP-HP then Professor at UPMC. In 1984 he joined the pharmaceutical industry where he worked for 21 years and obtained several marketing authorizations for products that were subsequently successful.
Between 2004 and 2006, he contributed to the first stages of the French governmental oncology plan, as a scientific delegate of the “Cancéropole” Ile-de-France and then at the start of the Medicen competitiveness cluster of Paris area.
In 2007, he was appointed Head of the Health Industries, Agrifood Biotechnology Branch at the Directorate General for Enterprises at the French Ministry for Economy in charge of the pharmaceutical industry, SMEs in biotechnology and medical devices. He chaired the Strategic Committee of the Health Industry and Health Technology Sector as the Rapporteur and assumed the co-secretariat of two Strategic Councils for Health Industries (CSIS) in 2009 and 2012. In this position he was a Director of the boards of Inserm, the Afssaps then the ANSM and finally the LFB.
In 2013, he joined the Department of Health Biology of the National Research Agency (ANR), where he was responsible for translational health research and partnership research within the framework of the TecSan (Health Technologies) program.
Daniel joined the Genopole Entreprises team in September 2017 as Head of the Department.
