- Developing and deploying novel bioinformatics solutions on our Cloud services
- Provide assistance to a variety of routine bioinformatics tasks, including gene identification, gene
model refinement, expression analysis, and automation - Remain up to date on relevant technologies and bioinformatics software through literature and professional meetings
Profil recherché
Plantik Biosciences is looking for a highly motivated bioinformatician apprentice to join our Paris-based team to tackle a problem that has profound meaning for our future: how to create better plants faster? The ideal candidate is a junior bioinformatician having good knowledge and command of different bioinformatics tools with a real passion for data. You will be working alongside our CTO and Cloud Engineer to take on this exciting challenge together.
YOUR SKILLS:
- M1 student in bioinformatics/Genomics
- Knowledge and experience in bioinformatics analysis, NGS data, and transcriptomics
- Basic competency in Python, SQL (any flavour), genome browsers (IGV, UCSC), Galaxy, UNIX, and R
- Any experience in Sequencing library prep is preferred.
- Fluency in English
- Previous experience with plant metabolic genes or transcription factor networks is preferred, but not
required - Previous experience with Google Cloud or AWS bioinformatics is preferred
- For preferred skills that you do not yet have – your willingness to learn is what we value the most
