The programme will cover statistical methodologies and bioinformatics tools used in genomics and metagenomics in the context of a comprehensive approach to pathological mechanisms.
The course will include lectures by guest speakers as well as hands-on computer sessions* with experts in the field.
The course is intended for researchers, engineers and PhDs already involved in or planning to start their research projects in the field of genomics for medical research.
It is limited to 20 participants, in order to ensure the highest quality in the to the interactions and to the practical sessions. To this end, registration will include a selection phase by the organizing committee.
This is a residential summer school. As such, all sessions will take place in the Campus of Chateauform’ Les Berges de Seine, in the country-side just a stone’s throw from Paris. Participants will be hosted on campus with accommodation and meals included in the registration fees.
In order to ensure high-quality teaching, places are limited to 20 participants and will be granted following a selection phase based on a short description of current / upcoming research and a brief test included in the registration form.
The course will start on the 4th of July in the afternoon and will end on the 7th of July 2017.
→ The programme of the practical sessions requires working knowledge of UNIX (use of UNIX commands, creation and modification of files…).
→ In order to ensure a consistent level among participants, a short test is included in the registration form (script language and statistics).
